United Way ready to kickoff Campaign

The United Way of Oconee County is ready to launch their annual fundraising campaign.  The mission of the United Way of Oconee County is to coordinate and develop resources to identify, evaluate, and efficiently serve the needs of the community.  LaShauna Harrison, Chief Operating Officer of the United Way of Oconee County tells how to donate.   “We have a new campaign manager that started last year, so this is her second year, Allison Smith.  If you would like additional information about getting involved with our campaign, Allison is who you would call.  She can give you details about getting involved in the campaign, raising money for our different initiatives and partners and just the overall day-to-day operations of the United Way in the raising money part of it.  Therefore, Allison Smith is who you would contact for our campaign kickoff.  She has put together a wonderful campaign team and we are excited about working with them in all aspects.”  To learn more about the United Way of Oconee County’s 2013 fundraising campaign, call Allison Smith at 864-882-9743. The United Way organization is made up primarily of volunteers who work to support a broad range of agencies and human services in the local community. They plan for future community needs and allocate the money raised through a systematic review process conducted by volunteers.  The United Way of Oconee County will kickoff their 2013 campaign on September 21st from 10am to 2pm at Anderson City Park in Westminster.  This is a family-fun event with bouncy house, giant slide, food vendors, face painting, Magic Bob, Cat in the Hat, clowns, mascots and more.
