United Way taking Tax-deductible Donations

As the year winds down, the United Way of Oconee County is reminding residents that you still have time to make a tax-deductible donation, explains administrative assistant Kim Ellis.  “There is a little bit of time but they need to get them in because the year end is near and we do accept cash, check, credit card, stocks, bonds, etc.” Ellis says you may specify where your donation is used or you can just give to the United Way in general.  “They can designate to a specific partner or they can make it directly to the United Way and we can use it and share it with all the partners.” To learn more about giving to the United Way of Oconee County, visit www.oconeeunitedway.org or call Kim Ellis at 864-882-9743 ext. 101.
