Update on Water Issues in City of Clemson

The City of Clemson says customers have experienced discolored water over the past several weeks. That is because of pockets of dirty water left in the system from a waterline break at Anderson Regional Joint Water System, which flushed the transmission lines to other water providers. The City of Clemson has flushed its system over the past several weeks as well. City leaders say they will continue to flush water lines to make sure your water is clear. Clemson leaders say the taste and odor issues should improve in the next few weeks. The agency installed a Powdered Activated Carbon system, which is currently adjusting the dosage to treat the water in the most effective way.
