Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail donates Quilt Block

The Building Blocks quilt block has been donated to Oconee County by the Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail, working collaboratively with the County to preserve our heritage through the stories of the quilts and their makers. This quilt block is displayed inside the County Administration Building at 415 South Pine Street in Walhalla. Ellen Henderson of Landrum made the fabric Building Block for this painted quilt block. Six members from the Landrum Quilters Guild have each contributed a block that is serving as the foundation to create the Foothills Quilt Trail for the City of Landrum. The Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail has served as their mentor for this endeavor.
