Upstate Pets in Need of Loving Homes

Adoptable dogs from Oconee Humane Society will be at Petco in Hartwell Village from 11 to 2 today. Angel Newman with the Humane Society said the dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots and heartworm testing/prevention. All they need is a loving home. Check out all the available pets at oconeehumane.org.

And another Upstate animal shelter is calling for residents to adopt a pet, too. Anderson County PAWs announced that their organization won’t be able to take in any animals over the next few weeks after their shelter reached its capacity. The shelter explained the situation in a post on social media over the weekend.

In the post, Dr. Kim Sanders shared that they are needing to find 20 foster homes for large dogs by Wednesday. You can find more information on Anderson County PAWs or how you can help the shelter by following this link.
