US Forest Service Conducting Prescribed Burn Today

The Sumter National Forest, Andrew Pickens Ranger District will be conducting a prescribed burn on the Turkey Ridge Burn Unit today.  The unit is in Oconee County on US Forest Service lands near Battle Creek Road southwest of state road 37. The winds today are from the southwest. The unit size is 500 acres with ignition planned to begin at 10 am.
