US Poet Laureate to appear at CU

U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey is making an appearance at a festival at Clemson University. Trethewey is the featured author at this year’s 7th Annual Clemson Literary Festival. She is scheduled to give a reading and book signing at the Clemson University Alumni Center tonight at 8pm.  Trethewey, a professor of English and creative writing at Emory University in Atlanta, won the Pulitzer Prize in 2007 for her collection “Native Guard.” The Library of Congress named her the nation’s 19th poet laureate in June 2012.
