VA Announces Healthcare Expansion

Starting March 5, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will provide healthcare to veterans exposed to toxins or hazards during service, including those who didn’t deploy but encountered hazards during training. This applies to veterans of all conflicts post-Vietnam War. The new policy allows veterans to access VA healthcare up to eight years earlier than the PACT Act. VA Secretary Denis McDonough encourages veterans to enroll for the deserved healthcare, emphasizing the VA’s proven quality and affordability.
