Violations found at Lila Doyle

A spokesperson for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control has confirmed that an inspection of Oconee Medical Center’s Lila Doyle nursing and rehabilitation facility turned up violations. Sister station WGOG reports that in a statement, DHEC did not identify the violations. The facility has requested, and been given, a review of the inspection findings. The regional office of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services is compiling its response to the review. That response should be received within a week. Once the state receives the cumulative response from Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, a re-survey of the facility will be conducted to determine compliance. According to DHEC, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services has the authority to deny payment for new admissions.
