Virginia Man and Woman arrested on Drug Charges in OC

A traffic stop that occurred late Wednesday evening in Oconee County resulted in the arrest of a Virginia man and woman on drug charges. Deputies were dispatched to an address on Burkett Road near Seneca in regards to a 911 hang up call with a female claiming to be in an argument with a male and the male saying he would run if police were called. Once deputies arrived on the scene, they had discovered that the incident had occurred across the street. Deputies had noticed a vehicle leaving earlier so they initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at a location on Keowee School Road due to concerns over a domestic situation inside the vehicle. The female, identified as Meghan Allyn Wilson, stepped out of the vehicle after being asked by deputies. Wilson told the deputies that she was the person who made the 911 call but deputies reported that she seemed confused and appeared to be under the influence. The male, identified as Shannon Grey Jamison, was asked to step out of the vehicle as well. Deputies’ report that he appeared to be nervous and he later told deputies there was prescription pills in a wrong container inside the vehicle as well as methamphetamine under the driver’s seat. Deputies discovered the meth in a black sunglass holder. A search of Wilson’s purse produced a variety of prescription medication. The 37-year-old Jamison of Martinsville, Virginia, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center. Wilson, who is 25-years-old resides at an address in Axton, Virginia, was booked into the Detention Center as well. In warrants, both Wilson and Jamison have been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. Wilson has also been charged with four separate counts of possession of a controlled substance (Dextroamphetamine, Vyvance, Oxycodone, and Xanax). The total amount of methamphetamine seized, according to warrants, is around 30 grams. Wilson is being held at the Oconee County Detention Center on a combined $40,000 surety bond while Jamison remains in jail on a $50,000 surety bond.
