Voter Registration added to Jazz on the Alley

A voter registration table has been added to the list of attractions at the City of Seneca’s Jazz on the Alley. The free outdoor street concert every Thursday night from 6:30-9:30pm on Ram Cat Alley in downtown Seneca is known for drawing a crowd, so the Oconee County Democratic Party asked if they could set up a table to register voters, explains Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander. “The Democratic Party is going to have a table set up for voter registration, if they are not registered to vote for the Nov. Election. This is not about Democrat or Republican, it is about having a drive to get people to register to vote in the Nov. Elections.” The Oconee County Democratic Party was granted permission by the Seneca City Council to have a voter registration table each Thursday night of Jazz on the Alley through Oct. 2. The law states that residents must be registered to vote at least 30 days prior to the General Election on Nov. 4.
