Walhalla Chamber celebrates Accomplishments at Annual Banquet

The Walhalla Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the year’s accomplishments with their annual membership and awards banquet last night. “At the historic Walhalla Depot, those in attendance enjoyed hearing Dr. Bruce Yandle’s insights on the local economy and how we, as a community, are positioned to encourage a brighter tomorrow. With manufacturing being the leading producer of jobs in the Walhalla area, the recipient of the Chamber’s Business of the Year went to JTEK KOYO Bearings of Walhalla. The Chamber was pleased to not only acknowledge KOYO’S leadership in the manufacturing world but also the continued direction that the company has taken in community improvement and support,” said Vanessa Penton, executive director of the Walhalla Area Chamber of Commerce. Volunteer of the Year went to Walhalla resident, Francoise Fussell.
