Walhalla PD: Victim and Assailant Knew Each Other

Walhalla Police Chief Tim Rice has confirmed that both the victim and the accused in last month’s case of homicide on the city’s east side had a prior relationship.

Chief Rice said that both the victim, Terrance Boyd of Moore Avenue, and the accused, Hartwell, Georgia resident Lakeisha McLendon, worked together at a local manufacturing plant, and that their relationship extended outside of work. A couple of days after the stabbing death of 43-year old Boyd, 37-year old McLendon was arrested on the charge of murder.

McLendon has been in jail without bond in Oconee County since her arrest on October 19.
