Walhalla to participate in Energy Saver Program

More than 1,100 Duke Energy customers in Walhalla can participate in a voluntary energy saver program designed to conserve energy and lower electric power bills. The Duke Energy “Neighborhood Energy Saver” program will be available at no cost. Representatives plan to cover Walhalla’s service territory targeting homes with high energy burdens and limited resources to pay. Duke Energy sent letters to customers living in Walhalla announcing the project. They are also inviting interested customers to attend a free dinner at 6pm on May 4, at Walhalla First Baptist Church to learn more about the program.
