Walhalla’s Main Street Program Changes

Walhalla has decided to end its technical assistance agreement with the state’s Main Street program, but its own Main Street program will continue. The city officials are reevaluating their relationship with Main Street South Carolina four years after joining. They plan to alter their agreement by June 30. The city currently holds a “Classic” membership in the local Main Street Walhalla program, and future membership levels will be discussed during budget talks. The Main Street Walhalla Board is considering advancing in membership levels and expanding partnerships with local organizations. The new fiscal year begins on July 1.
