Wanted Salem Robbers now in Custody

Two Hendersonville, North Carolina men wanted in connection with a robbery in Salem on Wednesday night are now in custody.  According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old James Mitchel Estes II turned himself in to officials around 11am Monday morning. He stands charged with grand larceny and burglary in the first degree from the incident that occurred at 201 Shallowford Road in Salem. Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 24-year-old Joshua Estes in North Carolina.  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the arrest Monday afternoon.  He was charged with assault and battery in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, and grand larceny in relation to the incident on Shallowford Road.  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has begun extradition proceedings to have Joshua Estes transported to Oconee County.
