Wanted Suspect in Custody

39-year-old Christina Stroud voluntarily surrendered herself to the authorities at the Oconee Law Enforcement Center, according to Matt Patterson, the Chief of Police in Westminster. He revealed that there are four active arrest warrants for Stroud.

Shortly after her arrest was reported to the Westminster Police Department, a civil court filing in Oconee named the Anderson woman. Patterson was informed last week about Stroud’s surrender at the county jail on Wednesday. She is the named defendant in multiple warrants alleging breach of trust.

A civil complaint was filed in the Common Pleas Court on Saturday afternoon, naming Christina Stroud, Jeremy Stroud, and others as defendants on behalf of a family trust’s representatives. The complaint seeks to rescind or foreclose a sales contract involving 136 E. Main Street, Westminster. The civil filing alleges that the Strouds and other defendants made only two monthly payments of $1,000 to the plaintiffs.

According to the court filing, they agreed “to lease the real estate, along with all kitchens, restaurant and dining room equipment for a period of 13 months, beginning May 1, 2023, and continuing through June 1, 2024”.

Christina Stroud is currently being held at the Oconee County Detention Center on four counts of breach of trust. Her bond has been set at $32,000.
