Waterline along US 76 to be replaced

New details are being announced about the large grant received by the City of Westminster for waterline improvements. The South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority awarded more than $240,000 in a grant to replace a section of waterline along Highway 76 near the city. The funds are being matched by $148,000 from a recent Westminster revenue bond. An old and severely deteriorating waterline is being replaced. Grants are awarded through a competitive process that identifies priority needs for improved public health, environmental protection, community sustainability and economic development.
