WCA announces 2014 Shining Stars Children’s Summer Theater Camp

Summer is just around the corner and the Walhalla Civic Auditorium is offering a two-week children’s summer theater camp designed to introduce children to ‘live’ theater, explains WCA executive director Bill Chiusano.  “The WCA Summer Camp is two weeks starting on Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 18, 2014. There are two classes, one for ages 7-9 and the other ages 10-12. Sessions start at 9am and end at noon. We end our Summer Theater Camp with a special free performance by all camp students for family and friends.” Chiusano tells more about the camp.  “It is basically designed to give kids an opportunity to be exposed to theatre.  Sessions include introduction to theater, acting, theater etiquette, costuming, make-up, lighting, props and staging. We limit each classes to no more than 25 students, so sign up now. Come join our camp for theater fun that will excite your children about all things related to ‘live’ theater.”  Summer camp fee is $150 and includes a t-shirt and snacks. To sign up your child, call 864-638-5277 or online at www.walhallacivic.com.
