West Union Man arrested for Multiple Burglaries

A West Union man is behind bars on multiple burglary and larceny charges. Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details. “20-year-old Brady Dale Berry of 165 Fernwood Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 3:27pm after turning himself in at the Oconee County Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla. Arrest warrants obtained by investigators charge Berry with two counts of first degree burglary, two counts of grand larceny, and two counts of petit larceny. Berry is accused of stealing a 6×12 flatbed utility trailer plus tools, valued at around $2,200, from an address on Goforth Lane in Westminster on Dec. 3. Warrants also charge Berry with taking a 15-foot dovetail trailer with a double tandem axle with ramps on the side and back of the trailer from an address on Old Seneca Road sometime between Dec. 8-11. In a third incident, Barry has been charged with breaking into a residence on Grace Lane in Long Creek sometime between Dec. 4-27 and stealing four firearms with a value of around $1,900. Finally, investigators say that Berry broke into a residence located at a separate address on Fernwood Drive and reportedly stole two firearms and a holster for one of the firearms sometime between the dates of Nov. 1 and Dec. 27. The value of the items taken in that burglary is around $750. Investigators say that around 95% of the items have been recovered as of mid-Tuesday afternoon. There are still some tools and two of the firearms taken that have yet to be recovered, according to investigators.” Berry is being held on a combined $65,000 surety bond at the Oconee County Detention Center.
