West Union Man arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a West Union man on multiple drug charges, explains Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt. “25-year-old David Edwin Ramage, whose address on warrants is listed as 451 Eastcliff Drive, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center. Deputies responded to an address on Dutch Fork Road in West Union regarding reports of a suspicious person. Deputies found Ramage on the property and according to deputies, he appeared to be intoxicated and confused. Ramage told the deputies that he was looking for his boss as he was supposed to cut crass at that location. The homeowner told deputies that they did not know Ramage. As the course of the investigation continued, Ramage told deputies that he had smoked some marijuana and after being asked by deputies, Ramage said he had some marijuana in his pocket. After a bag was found in his pocket, Ramage was placed under arrest. A further search of his person revealed another bag in his other pocket plus a white bottle that contained prescription medication. Around 18 grams of marijuana was found on the person of Ramage, plus 3 Tramadol pills, 10 Amphetamine capsules, and one Hydrocodone pill, according to deputies. Also, $102 in cash was recovered as well as drug paraphernalia.” Warrants obtained by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office charge Ramage with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, plus, possession of a quantity of Tramadol, Amphetamine, and Hydrocodone. He was also issued a uniform traffic ticket for possession of drug paraphernalia.
