Westminster Administrator Resigns; Oconee County Council Receives Emergency Services Complaints

Chris Carter, the current administrator for the City of Westminster, is resigning. His last day of work is reported to be on May 8th. Candidates to fill the position are being interviewed, according to Mayor Brian Ramey, who said that three people were interviewed Tuesday and two were interviewed on Wednesday.

Oconee County Council approved a resolution, proposed by the county attorney, to direct staff to respond to the complaints related to Emergency Services…and to coordinate with all boards and commission such as they meet in council chambers going forward.” The motion passed unanimously during a closed session on Tuesday. No word on exactly what those complaints against Emergency Services were.
