Westminster City Council Meeting Thursday Evening

Westminster City Council will gather Thursday evening at the Depot on East Main Street for their regular February meeting. Items on the agenda under new business include the appointment of a Mayor Pro Tem for 2023, and an ordinance amending the City’s budget for the current fiscal year. The amendment to the budget ordinance would make appropriations for certain expenses, capital improvements and indebtedness of the city. The Westminster Council will also hear a resolution affirming the council priorities established at their January meeting. Before adjourning, the council will move to executive session to discuss a fire service contract between Westminster and Oconee County; a possible contract with Blue Ridge Electric Co-Op; and a contractual matter related to the possible sale of Westminster’s share of PMPA. Thursday’s meeting begins at 6:00pm and is open to the public.
