Westminster makes appointments to Sewer Authority

The Westminster City Council made two appointments to the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority at their meeting this week. New administrator Chris Carter replaces Rhett Smith, who informed council that he was ready to step down after more than 20 years of service and recommended Carter take his place. The council thanked Smith for a job well done on the authority that oversees wastewater treatment. The council also re-appointed Walhalla area resident Tally Grant to a new term. He serves on behalf of both the cities of Walhalla and Westminster.
