Westminster Man arrested for Criminal Domestic Violence

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Westminster man on charges of criminal domestic violence. A deputy with the Warrants Division arrested 44-year-old James Bradley Rogers on criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature after a Nov. 22 incident in which Rogers produced a pistol and shot at a female as she was driving away from the Old Well Road address. The woman arrived at the residence to check on a five-year-old child that she and Rogers have in common. Rogers reportedly told the woman to leave the residence and as she was leaving, came out of the residence with a firearm and fired at her car. Witnesses corroborated the shooting of the firearm. The child in question has been removed from the home, according to deputies. Rogers was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a $10,000 surety bond.
