Westminster Man arrested in Drug Sweep

Deputies with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Westminster man this week on two outstanding drug warrants related to an “Operation Infinity” drug sweep from this spring. The two warrants charge 40-year-old Sheldon LaShane Williams with distributing a quantity of crack cocaine to an undercover operative of the Sheriff’s Office on two separate occasions, Dec. 16, 2014 and Jan. 20, 2015. Williams is the 39th suspect arrested in connection to this spring’s drug sweep. Williams also had an outstanding Magistrate’s Bench Warrant.
