Westminster Teen arrested for Criminal Sexual Conduct

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Westminster teen last Friday on charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details. “17-year-old Dahryus Alexander-Noel Coward of 161 Misty Hollow Lane was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on charges of second degree criminal sexual conduct of a minor. Deputies were notified by a guidance counselor at a school in the School District of Oconee County that a reported incident had occurred on a school bus during the morning hours of Dec. 15 involving the victim, who is 13-years-old, and Coward. After conducting an investigation, deputies determined that Coward had committed a sexual battery by touching the victim inappropriately.” During a bond hearing, Coward was given a $20,000 surety bond and released from the Oconee County Detention Center.
