Westminster Woman Charged with Trafficking Meth

On Thursday Walhalla Police said they conducted a traffic stop at W. South Broad St and Coffee Rd. During the course of the stop, Officers conducted a search of the vehicle, which, they said, led to the discovery of a quantity of Methamphetamine totaling 34.87 grams.

The driver, identified by police as 30 year-old Whitney Sloan Peay of Westminster, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine more than 28 grams, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana.

At this time she remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center, with a total bond amount set at $110,000.
