WHS Student charged for bringing Weapon to School

A student has been charged with bringing a weapon to school last month in Oconee County. The Walhalla Police Department reports that 17-year-old Oseas Vasquez stands charged with carrying a weapon on school property after an April 17 incident at Walhalla High School. Vasquez was arrested Friday and placed in the Oconee County Detention Center. According to the police, a folding knife was seized from Vasquez’s book bag before entering school.
