Wickliffe wins Talent Competition at Miss SC Pageant

For the second year in a row, Clarka Wickliffe has won the talent competition at the Miss South Carolina Pageant.  Wickliffe is a native of Oconee County and graduate student at Clemson University pursuing a master’s degree in bio-medical engineering.  She lives in Greenville County and is this year’s Miss Spartanburg.  Wickliffe took home the talent award with her vocal performance of “Somewhere”, from West Side Story.  Another young woman with ties to Oconee County,  Brooklyn Garrett, Miss Keowee Teen, grabbed the teen talent award with her vocal rendition of “Do it Anyway”, by Martina McBride. Preliminaries of the Miss South Carolina 2013 Pageant conclude tonight, with the final round of competition scheduled for Saturday night at the Township Auditorium in Columbia.  You can watch the finals by visiting www.miss-sc.org.
