Woman Faces Multiple Drug Charges

On Wednesday Walhalla Police arrested 24 year-old Kaitlin Mary Regelin and charged her with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Methamphetamine. Officers attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of S. Broad St. and Coffee Rd., and said the car stopped in the parking lot of James Brown Elementary during student pick up time.

There was no concern for students’ safety, police said, and added that after a K-9 unit arrived on scene, officers searched the vehicle and found multiple prescription schedule 4 controlled substance pills that were not prescribed to her.

At the detention center, police said that a more thorough search of Regelin was conducted and a crystal-like substance was located. She remains in custody pending bond.
