Work progressing on Seneca Substation

Upgrades are progressing smoothly on the electric substation behind Seneca City Hall, says Mayor Dan Alexander. “Its coming together and we’re really grateful for that project. Bob Farris and his staff have done an amazing job seeing that through. It is something that has been needed for a long-long time. It will not be that much longer until they start moving from the Lowery Building, taking things over and getting everything set up. Where the offices are there now will move to the Propex Property while they do some renovations on the Lowery Building too. So there is actually work that is going to be going on, once they complete one said of the road they will be going over to the other and there will be work done there.” Upgrades to the substation will make it much safer as well as modernize the equipment. J-L Malone Company of Albany, Georgia serves as the contractor on the project.
