World of Energy hosts Outdoor Movie Night

Duke Energy’s World of Energy hosts a free outdoor movie tonight. Duke Energy communications consultant Mikayla Kreuzberger tells more about tonight’s family-friendly movie by the lake. “Tonight at 9pm, we will be showing “Penguins of Madagascar.” This is the sixth year in a row that the World of Energy and the Oconee Nuclear Station have hosted the outdoor movies for the community. Complimentary shuttle service from the overflow parking area to the World of Energy will be provided, as well as transportation to the lake’s peninsula for those who need it. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and snacks, or snacks will be available for purchase. Guests can also watch the movie in their boats from the shoreline on Lake Keowee. No pets or alcoholic beverages are permitted.” Limited parking will be available at the World of Energy, and additional parking is available across the street from the World of Energy entrance on Highway 130 and will be marked with directional signs.
