World of Energy to host Local Art Show

The World of Energy has partnered with the Keep Oconee Beautiful Association (KOBA) to showcase beautiful artwork of Oconee County by local photographers. The show, which begins Aug. 1, consists of 10 photographs of Oconee County landscapes, which include top winners and honorable mentions of the annual KOBA photo contest. “We are excited to showcase local landmarks around Oconee County,” World of Energy spokesperson Mikayla Kreuzberger said. “The photographers have real talent that captures the heart of the county.” The art show will be on display through Aug. 31. The 2015 KOBA photo contest registration information is available at the World of Energy. The photo contest is open to all, with the exception of KOBA board members. Photos can be received throughout the year; entries received after the first Friday in November will be entered into the following year’s contest. KOBA is a non-profit organization that organizes anti-littering activities focused on education of the public and beautification of our surroundings.Visit www.kobasc.com to learn more.
