World of Energy to host Student Art Show

The World of Energy is collaborating with the School Districts of Oconee and Pickens Counties to display the artwork of local students and teachers from Jan. 9 to Feb. 2. The show will feature both student and teacher works of art in 2D and 3D encompassing a wide variety of styles and mediums. The show gives students a unique opportunity to view artwork created by their teachers. “This art show is a great way to begin the New Year,” said Fred Edgerton, art instructor at Seneca High School. “We always look forward to our students and teachers across both districts working collaboratively to showcase the talents of our local artists.” The World of Energy will host an opening reception to honor teachers and students on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 from 3pm to 7pm at the World of Energy located at 7812 Rochester Highway in Seneca. This reception is free and open to the public.  The show will remain on display until Feb. 2 and will be open during normal business hours. The World of Energy is open Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturdays from noon to 5pm.
