WSNW Expo promotes Home, Health and Life in OC

The Golden Corner is a great place to live, work and play. On Thursday, 94-1 The Lake, WSNW promoted those features in Oconee County at its 2014 Home, Health and Life Expo at the Shaver Recreation Complex in Seneca. WSNW General Manager Brandon Kessler gives details. “We are pleased, we had a great turnout with our vendors, a lot of people from the community were able to come and learn more about the business community. They could learn about home remodeling, outdoor and indoor furniture, healthcare with Blue Cross Blue Shield or Bob Bate Insurance, we had physical therapy offices here, so it was a good mix of everything. We also had some great restaurants here today, so I pleased with the turnout and we are looking forward to next year already.” Over 50 industry leaders from all over the Upstate displayed their goods and services at the expo. Tracy Morris, marketing coordinator at Oconee Memorial Hospital was there to talk with residents about the recent changes at the hospital. “We saw a lot of people come by and asking about the change with Greenville Health System and Oconee Memorial Hospital, concerns about services and doctors in the area. We assured them that services are going to do nothing but grow for the community and physicians are going to grow as well for our community. So, Greenville Health System is a great thing to have here in our Oconee County community.” Residents in need of physical, occupational and hand therapy were able to speak with the staff at Excel Rehab and Sports in Clemson, explains Tim Moore. “I think this a great benefit for the community for them to be able to come and see so many great local businesses and it also an opportunity for those same folks to see the value in their local business. It is a good opportunity for us to be able to expose our brand and our value for the type of physical and occupational therapy services we provide.” For those looking to improve the look and feel of their home both inside and out, Kathy Amsden with Elegant and Distinctive Interiors of Seneca was there to show different designs. “We were happy to be part of the show today; so that we could show the different designs for the home that we could help people with and demonstrate some of our premier recliners that really have taken the market by storm.” Megan Gillespie with Zone 7 in Seneca told visitors about improving their home landscaping. “The expo was great, we got a lot of people to come by and see the type of services we offer; landscape design, and our nursery is picking up right now with fall plantings and annuals. We have a big sale coming up for the fall, it is going to be on Oct. 31 all day long, and we will have lots of stuff 20% off. We have many gift items for the off-season as well. So, they had a chance to come by and look at all those things and hopefully come by the Nursery soon.” Visitors to the expo were also treated to delicious steak and shrimp samples from All J’s Catering and treats from Yogo Express.
