WWII Veteran Celebration planned for OC

A celebration is planned to honor the 129 WWII veterans of Oconee County.  Jerry Dyar, executive director of the Veterans Affairs of Oconee County gives details.  “On Saturday, March 1 we are going to pay tribute to some of our greatest citizens, the men and women from World War II.  We want all of Oconee County to join us at 2pm at the beautiful Gignilliat Community Center gym in Seneca as we once again say thank you to the 129 Oconee County WWII Veterans.  We hope you will join us on Saturday, March 1.” The community is encouraged to make signs and waive flags at the 2pm ceremony on March 1 at the Gignilliat Community Center gym in Seneca.
