No injuries were reported as the result of a fire that happened last night around 9:45pm on Krabbe Lane near Seneca just off Wells Highway, about halfway between the roundabout and SC Hwy 59. Fire fighters were on the scene for about three hours extinguishing the blaze.

A multi vehicle crash shut down the two lane Toccoa Hwy/US-123 near Tabor Road this morning. The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded not long after 9:00am when a passerby called 911 for help along the rural stretch of highway between Westminster and Stephens County, Georgia. No word yet of any injuries or what may have caused the crash.

On Saturday, Seneca Police arrested 39 year-old Dustin Lee Varn and charged him with high and aggravated criminal domestic violence, resisting arrest and two counts of kidnapping. Details surrounding his arrest have not yet been released. Bond was set at $255,000 and he remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center at this time.
