After cutting a 10-point deficit to two, South Carolina’s comeback fell short as Vanderbilt defeated the Gamecocks 58-51 in conference action at Colonial Life Arena. Senior Lakeem Jackson recorded his 500th career rebound in a Gamecock uniform in the Saturday contest.  With the loss, South Carolina falls to 11-6 overall and 1-3 in SEC play.

Clemson’s comeback effort fell short in 66-62 loss at No. 14 NC State on Sunday.  Clemson fell behind 10-0 only to tie it twice in the second half in the upset bid.  Devin Booker had a game- and career-high 27 points for the Tigers.  With the loss, Clemson falls to 10-7 on the season and 2-3 in ACC play.

Former Clemson and current Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller will play for the AFC in the 2013 Pro Bowl in Hawaii.  The game will be played on Sunday at Aloha Stadium and will be televised on NBC at 7pm. The Seneca Bobcat varsity basketball teams knocked off their cross-county rivals the West-Oak Warriors in impressive fashion Tuesday night in Western AAA Region action.  The Lady Cats defeated the Lady Warriors 75-50.  Seneca’s Kianna Holland led all scorers with 41 points.  In the boys’ game, Seneca beat West-Oak 78-54.  Four Seneca players scored in double figures to out pace West-Oak’s […]

Clemson held its second straight ACC opponent to 44 points in a 60-44 victory over Wake Forest on Tuesday at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers held the Demon Deacons to 24.6% shooting, the second lowest field goal percentage by an ACC opponent against Clemson. The win improved the Tigers’ record to 10-6 on the season and 2-2 in the ACC.
