Gamecocks fall to Commodores

After cutting a 10-point deficit to two, South Carolina’s comeback fell short as Vanderbilt defeated the Gamecocks 58-51 in conference action at Colonial Life Arena. Senior Lakeem Jackson recorded his 500th career rebound in a Gamecock uniform in the Saturday contest.  With the loss, South Carolina falls to 11-6 overall and 1-3 in SEC play.

Tigers bounced by Wolfpack

Clemson’s comeback effort fell short in 66-62 loss at No. 14 NC State on Sunday.  Clemson fell behind 10-0 only to tie it twice in the second half in the upset bid.  Devin Booker had a game- and career-high 27 points for the Tigers.  With the loss, Clemson falls to 10-7 on the season and 2-3 in ACC play.

Clemson knocks off Wake Forest

Clemson held its second straight ACC opponent to 44 points in a 60-44 victory over Wake Forest on Tuesday at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers held the Demon Deacons to 24.6% shooting, the second lowest field goal percentage by an ACC opponent against Clemson. The win improved the Tigers’ record to 10-6 on the season and 2-2 in the ACC.
