The Clemson Tigers lost their ACC opener, 71-66 to the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday at Littlejohn Coliseum.  The Tigers fall to 8-5 overall and 0-1 in ACC play with the loss.  Devin Booker led the Tigers with 19 points and 11 rebounds. The 19 points were a career-best for Booker versus an ACC team.

In their final non-conference contest of the year, South Carolina defeated South Carolina State 80-69 on Saturday afternoon at Colonial Life Arena.  The Gamecocks improve to 10-3 on the season with the win.

The Seneca High School varsity girls’ team returned to Western AAA Region play Wednesday with a 71-52 victory at Palmetto.  The Lady Bobcats were lead by Kianna Holland, who scored 40 points in the win.  The Seneca High School varsity boys’ team was also victorious, 61-32 over Palmetto.  The Bobcats return to action Friday night as they host Emerald.  Elsewhere, […]

In dramatic fashion, the Clemson Tigers concluded the 2012 season by beating the LSU Tigers 25-24 in the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta. University of South Carolina sophomore catcher Grayson Greiner, senior left-handed pitcher Tyler Webb, senior right-handed pitcher Colby Holmes and sophomore left-handed pitcher Jordan Montgomery have been named to the 2013 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America team as announced by Collegiate Baseball. Twenty-three Clemson student-athletes, including eight members of the 2012 football team, graduated from the school on Thursday.  All 11 Clemson scholarship football players on this year’s team have now earned their undergraduate degrees, for a 100% graduation rate from this football recruiting class.

Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney announced after practice that defensive back Bashaud Breeland would not play in the Chick-fil-A Bowl against LSU due to injury. Breeland had been limited by a groin injury that bothered him over the second half of the season. He is scheduled to have surgery today. Breeland played in 10 games and had five starts this season.
