Forecasted Rain Delays Upstate Chrismas Parades
Widespread rain is in the forecast for Saturday, and multiple Upstate cities are changing their plans for their annual Christmas parade.
- All events at Seneca’s Norton-Thompson Park in downtown scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 1 and 2, are cancelled, including visits with Santa, cocoa and S’mores. The Magical Musical Holiday Lights display will proceed as normal, however, from 5:30pm until 10:00pm.
- The City of Pickens said their parade, which was supposed to happen today, is being rescheduled. It will now happen next Friday, December 8 at 7:00 pm.
- Williamston has rescheduled their parade from today until next Saturday, December 9 at noon.
- The 2023 Walhalla Christmas Parade – A Gingerbread Christmas – has been rescheduled for Sunday, December 10th at 4:00pm.
- The Westminster Christmas Parade has been postponed until Saturday, December 9 at 11:00am, but the city of Westminster’s Christmas Tree Lighting has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
- West Union’s Christmas Parade is postponed until next Friday, December 8 at 6:00pm.
- IF it’s raining at 3:00pm on Sunday, December 3, the Town of Salem will cancel and not reschedule their parade.
- Anderson’s Parade is scheduled for 3:00pm Sunday, December 3.
- Clemson’s Parade is Tuesday, December 5.
- Easley’s Parade is at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 9.
- The Christmas Parade in Pendleton is scheduled for Sunday, December 10 at 3:00pm.
