More Arrests in OCSO’s Second Drug Round-Up of 2023

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has announced additional arrests as part of its second drug round-up of 2023. Arrest warrants were issued for 26 individuals based on controlled purchases of narcotics, including Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Prescription Medication, by undercover operatives.

As of 2pm on Wednesday, 12 individuals had been arrested or were already in custody. The latest apprehended are: Christopher Alonzo Robinson, a 29-year-old from Seneca, SC, charged with one count of Distribution of Cocaine. Robinson was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:12pm on Wednesday, October 3rd and is currently held on a $35,000 surety bond.

William Woodrow Bearden, a 40-year-old from Seneca, SC, charged with one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine. Bearden was arrested and is currently being processed at the Oconee County Detention Center.

James Edward Benton, a 46-year-old from Fair Play, is currently in custody at the Anderson County Detention Center. Benton is wanted on one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine and will be transferred to Oconee County to be served his arrest warrant.
