Man Charged with Sexual Exploitation

Arrest records from the Oconee County Detention Center show that on Thursday evening around 5:30pm, Sheriff’s Deputies charged 65 year-old Augustino Cusimano of West Union with two counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of disseminating obscenity unlawfully. At this time, he remains in custody with a total bond amount set at $25,000.

Salem Police Chief Resigns

The Town of Salem’s Police Chief of almost three years, Chief Brian Lusk, has tendered his resignation, according to Town officials. Officer Scott Peterson has been chosen to serve as Interim Police Chief until a permanent replacement is hired. No explanation was given for the sudden resignation of Chief Lusk.
