The University of South Carolina has a new head football coach, 44-year-old Will Muschamp. On Monday, the Board of Directors for the University of South Carolina discussed an employment contract through the athletics department. Muschamp was offered a 5-year contract worth $16 million. A 56-yard touchdown run gave The Citadel an upset victory over South Carolina 23-22 on Saturday. This drops the Gamecocks’ record to 3-8 on the season. This was South Carolina’s first lose to a Football Championship Subdivision team in 25 years when The Citadel beat them back then too.
