Tigers run over Gamecocks

The LSU Tigers knocked off the South Carolina Gamecocks, 45-24, on Saturday in a game moved to Tiger Stadium because of flooding in Columbia. LSU running back Leonard Fournette rushed for 158 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown in just three quarters. The loss drops the Gamecock’s record to 2-4 overall and 0-4 in SEC play.

Clemson rolls over GA Tech

Once again, on a soggy field at Memorial Stadium in Death Valley, the Clemson Tigers rolled to victory on Saturday over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 43-24. Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson threw two touchdown passes and Wayne Gallman ran for two scores. With the win, the Tigers improve to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in ACC play.

The Seneca Bobcats (7-0) spoiled the Pickens Blue Flame (3-4) Homecoming Friday night with a 31-6 victory. Gamecocks fall to Tigers

Three turnovers ultimately cost the South Carolina Gamecocks their football game on Saturday with the Missouri Tigers, falling 24-10. Gamecock quarterback Lorenzo Nunez threw three interceptions in his second start for the Gamecocks (2-3, 0-2). He did manage a touchdown for South Carolina though. The Gamecocks return to Williams-Brice Stadium for a Saturday game against the LSU Tigers.
