Beasley staying at Clemson

Clemson’s Vic Beasley will return for his senior season with the Tiger football team. The defensive end was a consensus first-team All-American in 2013, helping the Tigers to an 11-2 record and number-seven final national ranking in the USA Today poll. Beasley led the ACC in sacks with 13 and finished second in tackles for loss with 23.

Seminoles win Final BCS Title

Jameis Winston threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin with 13 seconds left and No. 1 Florida State beat No. 2 Auburn 34-31 to win the last BCS national championship game on Monday night. Winston was 20 for 35 for 237 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdown passes. Auburn’s Tre Mason ran for 195 yards in the loosing effort.

Clemson wins Discover Orange Bowl

The Clemson Tigers won the Discover Orange Bowl, 40-35 over the Ohio State Buckeyes Friday night in Miami. The Tigers forced four second-half turnovers, including two interceptions on the Buckeyes’ final two possessions, to rally from a halftime deficit for a BCS bowl win and a second straight 11-win season, both firsts in school history.

Gamecocks beat Badgers in Capital One Bowl

South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw was responsible for five touchdowns as the Gamecocks beat the Wisconsin Badgers 34-24 in the Capital One Bowl on Wednesday.
