United States Attorney Bill Nettles announces that 53-year-old Jeffrey Scott Green and 52-year-old Lisa Flaugher-Green, both of Easley, were sentenced in federal court in Greenville, for a conspiracy to defraud. The Oconee County Council needs more data before amending the county noise ordinance. The decibel levels, reported Tuesday night by Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw, are not conclusive. A Walhalla Police Officer has been fired after a man says he was assaulted while handcuffed. Easley Man killed in PC Crash

An Easley man died from injuries sustained in a crash on Farrs Bridge Road in Pickens County. The Pickens County Coroner’s Office reports that 37-year-old Phillip Bragg died at the scene. Troopers report he was wearing a seatbelt. The crash happened on Farrs Bridge Road between Alex Drive and Country Trail just after 5:30pm Tuesday.

Fishing Tournament begins in AC

Over 300 anglers took to the water Wednesday morning on Lake Hartwell for the 2015 Ram American Fishing Tour National Championship. These anglers are vying for one of two new Dodge Ram truck packages and one of three Triton Boat/ Mercury Outboard boat packages. The event is open to the public.
